The Field of Opportunity and Abundance
At any given moment, there is so much available to us and happening around us that we are unaware of. This is because there is a realm of existence that cannot be seen—a powerful cosmic force that is responding to us and profoundly affecting the course of our lives. This is the Quantum Field, or what I simply call The Field.
It is the universe of everything that has ever existed and will ever exist. And it is not only here now—it is all around us. It envelops and permeates every molecule of our experience and being. And let me take that one step further: it is not only around us. It is in us. It IS us.
What is this Field? The Field is the energy of God and life that permeates everything in existence. It is the essence of everything, the origin of everything, the source of everything. It is what connects all that exists.
Unfortunately, the explicit and implicit teachings of life on planet Earth lead us to perceive everything as separate from us. Nothing could be further from the truth. Although some religions and philosophical traditions—such as metaphysics, Buddhism, and Hinduism—have taught this principle of oneness for thousands of years, for most people it has remained little more than philosophical contemplation.
In a world that prioritizes form over the formless—and finds its identity in what can be seen and touched—the adoption of unseen realities as central to life, wellbeing, and evolution feels like too great a leap for most to truly grasp. Nevertheless, if we want this profound experience to become part of our daily lives, we must expand our minds to at least consider that the unseen realm is just as important as the seen.
When we change our paradigms and belief systems, we can have a completely different experience of life. And isn’t that what we are all looking for? Isn’t that why we spend so much time and energy reading self-help books, engaging in spiritual practices, going to therapy, and listening to inspiring voices? We want to grow. We want to change.
Some of us need that growth as much as we need to breathe, because our current lives feel painful. But change is so hard—or is it? The process of change itself is beyond the scope of this article, but I will say this: our brains and bodies were designed for change. In fact, they are always changing. This is why the concept of neuroplasticity is one of the most powerful and revolutionary insights to emerge from the late 20th century. Its implications, if truly understood, can transform both our lives and our world.
Everything in and around us is in a constant state of flux. The only constant is change. So what remains the same? Here lies the crux of the matter. The things that remain are those that exist beyond change: our soul, love, light, God—God’s realm. These are eternal.
What makes them eternal? In a word: God. Spirit. Source—however you choose to name it. God is the essence of everything. And I am not speaking of religion—the distant God in heaven, disappointed in humanity, judging and punishing. I am here to say emphatically: that God does not exist. I came to understand this through years of spiritual seeking and growth. I, too, was hurt by that rhetoric, but I moved beyond it as I came to know God more deeply through His love.
Those teachings are at the root of the illusion of separation—of seeing ourselves as disconnected from God, from each other, and from everything. God is angry. God is distant. God is disappointed. God is to be feared. Who would want eternal union with that version of God? It would feel like being bound to something oppressive forever.
And so, the illusion of separation persists—with devastating consequences. We begin to believe we are alone. That we must figure everything out ourselves. That we are inherently wrong. And in that belief, we distance ourselves even further.
But to cut ourselves off from intimate union with God is to cut ourselves off from everything we need to live fully, to grow, and to transform. Because in separating from God, we separate from The Field. Conversely, to live in union with God is to live in union with The Field—and with everything in it.
What is The Field? It is the living energy of God and the spiritual realm that permeates all existence—the entire universe. It is God’s life, abundance, love, and resources, present within and around each of us.
The Field contains everything that exists, has ever existed, and will ever exist. Yet it knows nothing of past or future, because it exists only in the now. It has been called the Quantum Field, the Holy Spirit, heaven, the spiritual realm, the miracle realm. While all of these names apply, they don’t fully convey how real, powerful, and personal it can be.
The Field is as close to you as your breath, and at the same time extends infinitely beyond time and space. It is accessible—though few know how to access it. If you don’t know it exists, you cannot access it. If you do, you can begin. And as you grow in your understanding, you deepen your ability to draw from it.
The Field is the overflowing abundance of God. It is complete, because nothing is truly created—everything already exists. Through The Field, we learn to attract, receive, and access what is already available.
What resources exist within The Field? Everything. Opportunities, money, relationships, information, answers, solutions. Also present are the energies of strength, peace, love, goodness, guidance, and power. God is fully available—and even non-human spiritual guidance, if you are open to it. Truly, everything.
We are already interacting with The Field, even unconsciously, because it is part of us and responds to us. If you have a thought, a desire, or a plan—and there is nothing within you blocking it—you will move toward it and attract it. Often, however, internal blockages prevent us from accessing certain experiences, especially those aligned with higher states of being. But that is a conversation for another time.
The true power of The Field is accessed through awareness. When you believe in it. When you trust in its goodness. When you know it is here for you. When you recognize that it is you, and you are it. When you understand that you are loved, worthy, and open to receiving. That is when you begin to enter its depth. And once you begin, The Field itself teaches you how to access more.
It is alive. Loving. Generous. Powerful. And it is here for you.
All that is required is belief—and a willingness to open your spiritual eyes. To recognize that what is unseen may be more real than what is seen. The visible world has its place, but it cannot compare to the power of what is accessed through connection with The Field—the unseen dimension of life.
That is what we are here to learn.
That is what we are here to experience.
